Wire Flame Spray Gun is that the type of method in which uses an oxy-fuel flame to melt the wires. To create a spray of a stream that applies to coat on the surface to spray on an entity. A Spray gun is used for spray both ferrous & nonferrous material. Important applications are restoring worn-out components, conductivity and anti-corrosion coating.
Wire Flame Gun Working
Flame Spray Gun utilized for flame spray. The wire is fed into the front torch of the flame spray gun through an air-driven turbine. Then the wire is melted down by flame combustion of fuel and oxygen. Through compressed air molten metal is pressurized outwards.
Wire Flame Spray Gun Advantage
The Wire flame Spraying process has many advantages such as
- Low Cost,
- Easy to operate,
- Simple in design, and dust and fumes levels are lower.
- It is widely used for Corrosion protection of structures and machine parts (e.g. bridges, offshore platforms, LPG bottles).
- For corrosion protection of structures and machine components and reclamation wore shafts flame spray process is mainly used.
- It is used where a cost-effective thermal spray coating is desired and lower quality can be tolerated.
Flame Spray Gun Process
The superiority of the flame spray process is the coatings are available for almost instant use with no drying time and no risk of damaging the element. Flame spray gun systems can generally manually performed, semi-automate or fully-automate the method if required. Copper, Zinc, Aluminium Brass, Nickel, Steel, Stainless Steel, etc. Metals and metal alloys in the form of wire are used for spraying in the thermal spray coating. The molten spray deposit & solidifies on the element surface to form a dense. Strongly adherent coating is proper for Corrosion Protection.
